The Nursing Associate role is a new support role that sits alongside existing healthcare assistants and fully-qualified registered nurses to deliver hands-on care for patients. The role helps bridge the gap between health care assistants and registered nurses.
Our North Lincolnshire South Primary Care Network currently employs four nursing associates working across our six GP practices to help deliver meaningful person-centered care to all patients across the PCN.
Nursing Associates are here to help support all individuals with all aspects of care, including:
Health and lifestyle promotion
Chronic disease management
Health prevention
Childhood immunisations
Cervical screening
Flu, shingles, and pneumonia vaccinations
Wound care and dressings
ECG and bloods
